How to Buy |
You should make contact with BCI to arrange a meeting. Call 0411 888 148 or send email as below.
A prospect will be interviewed by Tony Arena of BCI and will be given a document outlining the BCI offer.
Once a prospect is happy to proceed to receive the documents, a deposit of $1500 plus GST will be paid to BCI. This is payment towards the franchise. |
| |
Royalties |
Each franchisee pays 10% management services levy plus 4% advertising levy to the franchisor. |
Working Capital Required |
A franchisee would have to consider the amount of working capital necessary in the startup period, as commissions would not start to flow for potentially three to six months. A BCI Business Broker does start to earn money soon after startup in the way of listing fees or other consultancy fees, according to the franchisee’s skill and ability. |
Training and Support |
A franchisee is provided with a startup training program which covers the main competencies in business broking, and an introduction to the software program that BCI brokers use in their daily activity. This training is intensive and far-reaching and will prepare the broker for the job ahead, including operations, marketing and strategic planning. |
Access to Franchisees |
The franchisor is happy for intending franchisees to speak to other franchisees at the appropriate time. This would be after the franchisee has been provided with a Disclosure Document, Franchise Agreement and Code of Conduct. Such contact would be with any franchisee of the prospect’s choosing, but in consultation with and introduction by the franchisor. |

Comments |
In purchasing a franchise, one needs to consider what type of franchises are available. There are business-to-consumer franchises, like retail businesses, and there are business-to-business franchises, like this one and other such businesses. A business that is business-to-business takes a while to develop, because it is up to the franchisee to continue to bring in new business. The BCI brand will help and there will be referrals coming from head office or other franchisees; however, a BCI franchisee needs to be proactive and not afraid to approach potential new business. Keep this in mind in buying any business-to-business franchise. |
